Ballard High School Foundation Programs
At the Ballard High School Foundation, we have many programs in support of our Mission Statement
Our programs are summarized below, from where you can link to further information
GAINS – Graduation Assistance Impacting the Needs of Students, or GAINS, is a program that is designed to target Ballard High School students that are at risk of not graduating.
Library Committee – The Library Committee serves to help the John Stanford Library at Ballard High School. High School libraries should be the central hub of technology and of learning resources – they should be a Learning Commons. Unfortunately, they are woefully under-funded. The goal of the Foundation Library Committee is to target very specific needs, mostly focused on technology and Learning Commons, and help fund those specific areas, allowing access to Learning Innovation and Technology. From iPads to furniture, the Foundation finds ways to help.
The Library Committee is chaired by dedicated Ballard High School alum Gretchen Scheumann’53
The Wall Of Recognition – The Ballard High School Wall Of Recognition recognizes Ballard High School alumni who have become high achievers locally, nationally, and internationally. Every few years, we add to the WOR through a nomination and approval process, and in that way it is a program that is ongoing.
Art Collection – The Orre Nobles Art Collection at Ballard High School is a collection of art that is owned by the Ballard High School Foundation, and is on permanent loan to Ballard High School.
