You can support The Foundation in a lot of different ways
Below, you will find a variety of opportunities for support of the Ballard High School Foundation. No matter what you support, or how much you can give, know that there is great thought that goes in to how we use your hard earned dollars in support of Ballard High School, and that those dollars are being spent to make Ballard High School better!

Here is how you can help today!
The General Fund- To give and allow for the most flexibility, you can donate to the Ballard High School Foundation General Fund. The General Fund provides unrestricted money that the Foundation can use to run daily operation, but also to fund programs and initiatives that there may not be restricted funds in support of, like the purchase of iPads and a cart, or to help with Ballard High School PTSA Bucky’s Home For The Holidays, and in support upcoming endeavors- needs that we can’t anticipate.
GAINS- Graduation Assistance Impacting the Needs of Students, or GAINS, is a program that is designed to help students who are most at risk by providing the support and motivation to help these students graduate on time, and to prepare for success in college and career. GAINS is a partnership between Ballard High School and the Ballard High School Foundation. When you make a donation to GAINS, dollars donated are restricted, and can only be allocated to expenses associated with GAINS. Staff, scholarships, and other program support fall into this category. Rest assured that when you make a donation to GAINS, you are making sure that the most at-risk Ballard High School students have a better chance of graduating!
Golden Beavers Scholarships- The Golden Beaver Scholarship Program is meant to stimulate, within the Ballard student body, the desire to achieve goals that prepare them for advanced education and/or training upon graduation. Financial support for these scholarships is derived through donations, membership dues, memorial contributions, wills and bequests
Endowment – The Ballard High School Foundation Endowment is your investment in the long term sustaining of funding of the Foundation. Donations made to the Endowment are invested in partnership with the Seattle Foundation for the long term. Only the interest made on this fund can be accessed and used, so this money is restricted in that manner.
The Performing Arts- Your donation to the Performing Arts goes to a fund that is restricted to the performing arts. Dollars donated to the Performing Arts fund will go directly to purchases for Music, Choir, and Drama programs, or may be trusted to the Ballard High School Performing Arts Boosters for allocation. Either way, rest assured that your donation will be used wisely, and for something in the Performing Arts department at Ballard High School.
Ballard High School Athletics- Support for Ballard High School Athletics programs helps every student athlete at Ballard High School. Your donation to Ballard High School Athletics designates your donation to Ballard High School Athletics programs only. We appreciate your support!
The Art Collection- The Orre Nobles Art Collection at Ballard High School is the only privately funded art collection that is on permanently loan to a school, in the country. Donating to the Art Committee fund allows the committee to purhcase new art, and every btit as importantly, fund maintenance of the art that we have in the collection now. When you donate to the Art Collection, you know that Ballard High School students have access to a world class collection of art at their fingertips.
The Library- Your donation to the Ballard High School Foundation Library Fund allows the Ballard High School Foundation Library Committee to continue support for our library. Money donated to the Library Fund is restricted, and will only be spent on Library needs.
