Selecting & Presenting Our Scholarship Winners

Each year, Ballard High School students apply for Golden Beavers Scholarships. Applicants submit a letter of recommendation, along with a resume that includes their school and community activities, work experience, special honors, and awards. Eight Committee members, headed by Co-Chairs Ryan Carlisle ’93 and Maggie Murphy Moffett ’69, interview the candidates and select the scholarship winners, who are presented with their awards each spring at our Annual Scholarship Luncheon.
